This is about Sen. Tammy Duckworth’s amendment to the America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2020 that gives incentives for communities to sell off their water supplies.

Putting the supply of water into the hands of profiteers is a proven mistake. Not only does its price increase (for profit) but its quality is likely to decrease (for profit) to the point of toxicity. In recent years this country has had numerous examples of both and some are ongoing.

I am appalled that the Democratic House of Representatives approved this, that my Rep. Neal voted for it, and that the Democratic candidate for president is considering its sponsor, Sen. Duckworth, as his vice-presidential running mate.

Actions like this by Democrats are so maddening that I want alternative candidates for all political offices. Luckily, this time, I am able to vote to get Richie Neal out. But what to do if Duckworth is a candidate? Joe Biden shouldn’t be giving the electorate any more incentives to not vote or to re-elect the incumbent on election day. Tell him that!
