Melanson Heath announces new name

GREENFIELD — The Melanson Heath accounting firm has announced that, effective immediately, it will be known as simply Melanson.

According to a press release from the company, which has a branch at 101 Munson St., Suite 120, in Greenfield, the rebranding strategy reflects the company’s evolution and its vision for the future.

Along with the name change, Melanson has a new logo and a new website at melansoncpas.com.

“As part of our focus on expansion and business development, our leadership team and I believe it was appropriate to rebrand our firm to more specifically reflect who we are,” Managing Partner Scott Toothaker said. “We are not just an accounting firm; we are a partner for our clients.”

Melanson is a full-service accounting firm that has been serving residents in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire for over 43 years. Services include accounting, auditing, financial reporting, tax preparation, and municipal and nonprofit auditing.

Aliber’s Bridal participating in national sale

GREENFIELD — Aliber’s Bridal at 18 Federal St. is one of nearly 900 locally owned bridal retailers across the country participating in the fifth annual National Bridal Sale Event this year.

According to Aliber’s Bridal owner Cristen Rosinski, the store is participating in the sale from Tuesday, July 21, through Saturday, July 25.

The National Bridal Sale Event has become an annual tradition for the bridal industry, similar to a Black Friday or Small Business Saturday for other retail stores, according to an event press release. It offers brides, bridesmaids and wedding guests an opportunity for substantial savings.

“It also means brides do not have to shop the internet for price,” said the event’s creator, Sue Maslowski, who owns Jay West Bridal in Haddonfield, N.J. “They can walk into any participating bridal salon across the country and touch, see and feel what they are purchasing with no surprises. And often, they can take the gown home the same day.”
