I am somewhat confounded by the governor of South Dakota who has apparently gotten her centuries wrong. She said that those toppling statues of soldiers of the CSA were trying to attack our Founding Fathers. She was 76 years or so off. Did she, perhaps she meant the founders of the secessionist, rebel CSA.? A more thorough understanding of the basics of American history, basics, seems to me to be important for those who rise to political prominence.
