ROWE — Joanne Semanie has secured a three-year term on the Selectboard, replacing Jennifer Morse, whose term ended this year.
The election, which took place Saturday at Town Hall, saw a 44.7 percent voter turnout, with 136 votes cast out of a possible 304 total registered voters, according to official election results on the Rowe town website.
Morse ran as a write-in candidate, receiving 43 votes compared to Semanie’s 79 votes. Semanie currently serves as a member of the Gracy House Committee.
A tie between two write-in candidates for a two-year seat on the Planning Board meant there was a failure to elect, according to Town Clerk Paul McLatchy III. The seat will be filled by appointment in a joint decision between the Selectboard and the remaining members of the Planning Board.
In a non-binding referendum, voters were also asked to consider one of two potential futures for the Gracy House — demolish the building, or proceed with mold removal and other necessary repairs.
Of the 136 votes cast, 74 residents voted to demolish and 43 voted to repair. Nineteen left the question blank.
McLatchy said it will be up to the Selectboard and the Gracy House Committee to present options to voters.
“Ultimately, a vote will have to be taken at Town Meeting about whether they want to renovate, demolish or somewhere in between,” he said. “This gives, at least, some guidance, about what they might propose to the voters.”
