Purging art because you don’t like the artist sounds a lot like burning books or getting rid of “degenerate” (i.e. modern) or Jewish art as the Nazis did. I am appalled to read that there has been a call for something similar in Shelburne Falls. Fascist is as fascist does, no matter how seemingly righteous the cause. Over the centuries huge amounts of art have been lost to religious and political purges coming from the left, the right, and a panoply of religions, and we are all poorer for it.
