The quartet of Terry Norwood, Bev Williams, Mary Stokarski and Lawrence Young posted a winning score of 35 to take the top spot as the Ashfield Community Golf Club’s Thursday Morning League played a four-person scramble.

The team of Connie Szelewicki, Diane O’Connell, Francie Hall and Cyndie Stetson finished second with a score of 38.

Thomas Memorial Ladies League

The duo of Robin Hartnett and Janet Twyon captured first place as the Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club Ladies League participated in a scramble on Wednesday.

Hartnett and Twyon carded a low total of 36.

In second place, Sally Malloy and Sue Mailloux posted a score of 38, followed in third place by Karren Sacco and Barb Howey with a 39.

K of C League

Mike Lorden and Jim Herzig each posted a point quota of plus-9, putting them atop the Knights of Columbus Golf League at Thomas Memorial on Wednesday night.

Ken Morin was right behind at plus-8, followed in fourth place by Paul Cloutier’s plus-7.

CFC Women’s League

Jill Waldron and Terry Boyce tied for first place with a plus-4 point quota at Wednesday’s Crumpin-Fox Club’s Women’s League in Bernardston.

Tammy Balestracci was third overall with a plus-2 quota, and the trio of Cam Thacher, Jodi Hoynoski and Michelle Burch tied for fourth place.

Waldron won a pair of skins, while Boyce also won a skin. Boyce was closest to the pin on No. 9 (7 feet, 4 inches).

CFC Senior Singles

A low gross of 74 by Ed Garbacik set the pace in Wednesday’s Crumpin-Fox Club Senior Open Singles.

Jim Ruschioni was the runner-up with a 75, followed by Erik Barnes in third place (76) and Jon Fasick and Carter Fasick in a tie for fourth place (77).

Dan Hodgkins and Steve Halquist tied for the low net with a 71. Craig Berry, Jon Shea and Alan Stalker were next with nets of 73.

Corky Sysun shot 104 to snag the low gross in the women’s division.

Running

Northfield Summer Series

Mark Rabasco made it two in a row, as he captured the top spot in the virtual Northfield Summer Road Race Series with a winning time of 20 minutes, 57 seconds.

Results for Week 3 ran from June 11-17, and competitors could choose to either run the 3.3-mile course in Northfield on their own or run their own version.

Noah de Ruiter was the runner-up with a time of 21:42, followed in third place by Bob Bezio in 22:38. Liam Walker was fourth overall (23:17) and Dave Thomas took fifth (24:33).

Rounding out the top 10 finishers were Derek Postema (sixth, 24:41), Laura Fries (seventh, 25:45), Chuck Adams (eighth, 28:14), Lucy Koester (ninth, 28:20) and Joel Finnell (10th, 34:12).
