I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who so generously donated to the GHS Adopt A Senior Program. Through donations from the community, we raised over $8,000 to help celebrate our 69 graduating seniors. Each received a canvas bag filled with their diploma, GHS merch and gift certificates or items from location businesses. They are: Mesa Verde, Bonnie B’s, Denny’s Pantry, Greenfield Garden Cinemas, Sandri, World Eye, Brad’s Place, Village, New Fortune, Pete’s Seafood, French King Bowling Alley, Tito’s, Adams, El Greco, Greenfield Games, His and Her Comics, Main Street Bar and Grille, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters, the Greenfield Public Schools, The GHS Alumni Association, Albitas, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Boyden and Franklin County Golf Center
While this graduation was unique, it was made special by the outpouring of support from so many. Parents and students have reached out to express their gratitude to everyone who helped make the day a success. A special shout-out to the Alumni Association and Andie Drew. A project of this magnitude could not be done in isolation.
