SHELBURNE — This year’s town election, set for Tuesday, June 23, involves no contests, as well as two Recreation Committee positions for which there are no candidates running.

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Cowell Gymnasium at 51 Maple St.

According to Town Clerk Joseph Judd, the polling location was changed from Town Hall to better allow for social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The new location also provides more parking.

While there are no contests for the election, there are four write-in candidates for positions that have no one running on the ballot. Below is a list of individuals running for re-election, those who have declared a write-in candidacy and other positions that have no candidates.

■Selectboard, three-year term — no candidate on the ballot (Margaret Payne is running a write-in campaign)

■Moderator, one-year term — no candidate on the ballot (Roland Giguere is running a write-in campaign)

■Assessor, three-year term — Shawn Allen, incumbent

■Town clerk, one-year term — Joseph Judd, incumbent

■Shelburne Free Public Library trustee, three-year term — Theodore Sicker

■Shelburne Free Public Library trustee, three-year term — no candidate on the ballot (Debra Washer declared a write-in candidate)

■Shelburne Free Public Library Trustee, one-year unexpired term — Thomas Hale

■Planning Board, five-year term — T. Wilson Flanders, incumbent

■Recreation Committee, five-year term — no candidate on the ballot (Diana Hardina declared a write-in candidate)

■Recreation Committee, three-year unexpired term — no candidate

■Recreation Committee, one-year unexpired term — no candidate

■Housing Authority, five-year term — Roger Bowen Weld

■Housing Authority, four-year unexpired term — Margaret Payne

■Tree warden, one-year term — James Richardson, incumbent

■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, three-year term — Julie Dubreuil

■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, two-year unexpired term — Leah Maldonado

■Constable, three-year term — no candidate on the ballot (Michael Barnes declared a write-in candidate)

According to Judd, the town is also looking for temporary poll workers to work at the election on June 23. If you are a registered voter and live in Shelburne, you are eligible to apply.
