Once again this year, Lt. John J. Galvin, Post 81 of the American Legion, awarded two scholarships and two Student Awards, to graduating Greenfield High School students. This could not have been done without the help of a number of people. I would like to take the time to thank Tami Silk, of the GHS Guidance Department, and the rest of the staff at GHS, for their invaluable assistance with this. It is obvious that they are dedicated and supportive of the students. A thank you must also be given to Sandy McGill and her committee for Post 81. They had a real challenge making a determination of the recipients for the Scholarships. The students show that GHS is in the forefront of educating the student body. In ending, I thank the Greenfield Recorder for its efforts in keeping the public informed in these times, when information is most critical.
