CONWAY — The Selectboard voted on Monday to reschedule Annual Town Meeting for a second time.

The new Annual Town Meeting date is June 20, at 1 p.m. The board had previously approved postponing the meeting to June 8.

“It’s our feeling we want to extend this a bit further, not only because of the health environment right now, but because the state doesn’t have a lot of info to give us on budgeting,” said Selectboard Chair John O’Rourke. “We want to wait as long as we possibly can so that we have enough information, and we’re hopefully well on the way to being open by June 20.”

The meeting is planned to happen outdoors, with rain dates of June 21, June 27 and June 28.

Board members addressed possible locations for the meeting, such as the baseball field or the parking lot at Conway Grammar School, but the location hasn’t been determined yet.

At Monday’s meeting, members also discussed a rough plan for reopening Conway Town Hall and Town Office, with the goal of providing the public with safe access to town functions.

The objectives of the plan include maintaining a clean environment; maintaining a safe space between staff, and between staff and the public; and maintaining remote meetings while allowed by law. Each objective came with a set of tasks, such as allowing staff to continue remote work, staggering staff hours, recognizing work space as public space in relation to wearing masks, and providing staff with additional disinfectant wipes.
