Rail service through the Hoosac Tunnel resumed late on Saturday, April 4, following a collapse that shut down rail service west of Greenfield on Feb. 11.
There are reports of children playing on the tracks in Shelburne Falls, where virtually no trains have run for nearly two months, and rails were getting rusty.
With bored children out of school and looking to get into trouble, it would be a good time to remind folks that trespassing on railroad property in Massachusetts invokes a $100 fine.
Thank you.
