In 1939 our YMCA received its current charter from Y-USA thanks to the support of local business leaders and the community at large, which continues today. The Greenfield YMCA has been a cornerstone of the greater Franklin County community in its current location since 1943. Today more than ever your continuing membership support is more critical than ever.

The YMCA is doing everything possible to develop virtual programs for our members. Your YMCA provides 135 full-time and part-time jobs. Our current commitment is to continue to support our staff’s employment stability, as long as possible.

“Our mission is to provide opportunities for our members to develop character and leadership, to grow in mind, body and spirit through program participation and service, and to improve the quality of life in Franklin County.”

I am asking all members who are capable to continue with their YMCA membership in this critical and evolving time. Please think of your membership as a continuing donation to what is an anchor and a safe zone for our Franklin County families.

This YMCA is blessed to have the support of almost 4,600 members and is currently in a sound financial position. We want to sustain our financial stability for our employees, as well as for our membership. I know from my personal experience the importance our YMCA has been and will always be into our future.

This year we just commenced on an ambitious annual campaign just before the coronavirus pandemic started to take off. Today we need our membership to continue their dedicated support to meet the challenge of our life time.
