HAWLEY — Nomination papers for the annual town election, set for May 4, from 11:45 a.m. to 7 p.m., are now available.
The following positions are up for election:
■Selectboard/Board of Health, with a three-year term (incumbent Robert Root)
■Town clerk, with a three-year term (incumbent Pamela Shrimpton)
■Auditor, with a one-year term (incumbent Carla Clark)
■Board of Assessors, with a three-year term (incumbent Rick Kean)
■Hawlemont Regional School District School Committee, with a three-year term (incumbent Robert Root)
■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, with a three-year term (incumbent Scott Purinton)
■Moderator, with a one-year term (incumbent Kirby “Lark” Thwing)

According to a notice from Administrative Assistant Cass Nawrocki, 25 signatures of registered voters are required. The last day to submit nomination papers to Shrimpton is Monday, March 30.
If you have not previously registered to vote, the last day to register in order to participate in the May 4 election is April 14.
