Editor’s Note: In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, social gatherings have been limited, leading to event cancellations and closures. However, other organizations have modified their programming. Below is a list of such notices received by the Greenfield Recorder on Tuesday.

Bernardston

■The spring grand opening of the Powers Institute Museum at 20 Church St., featuring new acquisitions acquired over the winter, has been postponed indefinitely. Call 413-648-5311 with questions.

Greenfield

■According to the Greenfield Recreation Department, the city’s parks and playgrounds will remain open, but visitors are recommended to take preventative action when visiting including self-monitoring and practicing social distancing.

■The Lt. John J. Galvin Post 81 of the American Legion’s monthly meeting for April has been canceled.

Regional

■The Massachusetts chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is offering Connection Support Groups by telephone on Mondays at 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. The number to call is 508-206-8720. ■The VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System is working to streamline services to bring medical supplies to larger clinics and its main campus; centralize and support those facilities for more face-to-face appointments; use the clinics that are closed to patients for administrative staff and clinical staff who are equipped with VA Video Connect; and limit the number of employees and patients coming into contact with one another. As such, the Greenfield Outpatient Clinic is closed until further notice. The open locations are: the Edward P. Boland VA Medical Center at the Leeds Campus, the Pittsfield Outpatient Clinic, the Springfield Outpatient Clinic and the Worcester Lincoln Street Outpatient Clinic.
