8:59 p.m. — A robbery was reported at Shaw’s Mart, 239 Main St. Man left on foot, initially toward CHD Outpatient Behavioral Health Services. Purse also reportedly stolen by same man. K-9 responding from Montague to assist with track.

Montague, Feb. 3

5:42 p.m. — Fire Department responding to a brush fire on the railroad tracks behind North Village Smokehouse. Extinguished.

6:11 p.m. — Caller reports while walking through the Montague Plains he found an excessive amount of roofing materials that were discarded off one of the main roads into the “sandpits.”

9:53 p.m. — Employee of F. L. Roberts on Third Street requesting assistance with an unruly customer refusing to leave. Man moved along and advised he is no longer welcome at the store.

Greenfield, Feb. 4

4:12 p.m. — Reporting party turned in two boxes that he found on his front lawn with “Kappa 86cfx 300w” car stereo speakers. Both appear to be new in box.

3:49 p.m. — Caller requesting help with an unknown man sitting in a parking lot at her residence when she returned home. Called her names and was making threatening statements.

Montague, Feb. 4

9:52 p.m. — Caller states he let a woman he met online come to his house to hang out. While he was in the shower, she took his vehicle and has not returned. BOLO given to Shelburne Control, Brattleboro Police and Vermont State Police.

Greenfield, Feb. 5

10:47 a.m. — Caller reports medication stolen six days ago. Said he has been investigating the theft himself, not having reported it to police yet. Reported no suspects as medications went missing from his bag, unknown where and when.

Montague, Feb. 5

12:46 p.m. — Caller states a man came to her door requesting to confirm her personal information electric bill details. He was not from Eversource and did not appear to have a solicitor’s permit. Entire neighborhood checked; unable to locate.

Greenfield, Feb. 6

12:57 p.m. — An employee reportedly embezzled money from Diane Messer, attorney at law. Case turned over to the detective bureau.

4:48 p.m. — Leonard L. Adams, 51, of Smith Street, Greenfield, was arrested for OUI-liquor over .08 percent (second offense) and OUI-liquor with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater (second offense).

4:56 p.m. — A stray black cat reportedly came into Ruggeri’s Beverage and Redemption Center on Deerfield Street with no collar. Caller attempted to get it out and the cat scratched him. Caller was offered EMS and declined. Animal control officer advised and will follow up.

6:07 p.m. — Report of lost property on School Street. Men’s wallet.

8:15 p.m. — One-car accident on Main Street. Vehicle over the curb against a tree. No airbag deployment and no steam, smoke or fluids. No injuries. Tow requested.

10:55 p.m. — A Chapman Street caller reports smelling urine or the product of defecation. Thinks neighbors may have done something. Ongoing complaint of harassment.
