What’s the big deal with the Coronavirus? We have vaccines, test kits and treatment centers for every malady from cancer to heart disease, from substance abuse to medical malpractice, and yet hundreds of thousands of Americans die each year from one of them anyway.
What is the big deal? Fear. America, the wealthiest nation on earth, fears everything. If it ain’t Trump, it is the climate crisis. If it ain’t terrorism, it is the looming prospect of the stock market crashing — evaporating everyone’s 401K.
Any or many of the above may get me and finish me off, but I am promised eternal life through and with Jesus Christ. That promise alone dissolves a boatload of fear.
