The Franklin County Varsity Sports Report is sponsoring a pair of high school basketball All-Star Games on Tuesday night.

The Report, hosted by Bobby C. Campbell, has set up both a boys and girls contest, set to be played at Franklin County Technical School in Turners Falls. The girls game begins at 5:45 p.m. and the boys game follows at 7:15.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Bobby C and Jeff Tirrell will handle the coaching duties for the night’s contests.

Greenfield Suburban wins

Jonathan Breor had a standout night, going for 21 points and 16 rebounds, to lift Greenfield past East Longmeadow, 58-36, in the Suburban League Grades 7 and 8 playoffs on Thursday night at Nichols Gymnasium.

Greenfield will play the winner of the Amherst/South Hadley game in the next round.

Jacob Blanchard added a double-double of 10 points, 11 rebounds, while Hugh Cyhowski went for eight points and 10 rebounds, and Jackson Campbell tossed in six points for Greenfield.

Elsewhere, Behind a huge output from Grayson Thomas, the Greenfield 5th and 6th grade basketball team is marching into the semifinals of the Suburban League playoffs.

Thomas scored 21 points and amassed six steals to lift No. 7 Greenfield to a 42-31 win over No. 2 Northampton on Wednesday night at JFK Middle School in Northampton.

Gavin Arsenault had 10 points and five assists in the win, while Malik Moore and D’Angelo Brown both were aggressive on the boards.
