The word “fair” has numerous meanings. Pelosi wants the impeachment trial fair as in unbiased. McConnell wants a fair trial as in not excellent or good but merely fair. If you asked your waiter about a certain item on the menu and he said it was “fair” you probably would have second thoughts about ordering that dish.
