On the Greenfield common is a sign that says “no camping.” I guess the tents of the town’s homeless folks in the summer were unsightly to some people. Now there is a structure far more imposing than small tents with the Christmas scene of the homeless baby Jesus and his family. Perhaps the “Keeping Christ in Christmas” folks should read Mathew 25:43-45. Providing shelter for the homeless is Christ’s way, not providing a sheltered display of a Christmas icon.
