’Twas the time of Christmas season when all through Congress,

All the creatures were stirring and visibly stressed.

The evidence was hung for the charges they desired,

With witnesses inept like the reasons some were fired.

You see many were unwilling to accept electoral votes,

And threw in all attempts to see if anything floats.

Thy tried to dump Trump since the day he was elected,

And hope to replace him with whomever they selected.

First the Russian interference, they yelled out “collusion”,

Yet the Steele Dossier showed it was all an illusion.

Yes, the Mueller report proved to be a big bust,

It was increasing difficult to find one from the left we could trust.

The Emoluments Claus (ha ha get it?) was next on the list,

Because POTUS was forbidden to receive any gift.

As time came and went they were becoming truly perplexed,

So many came forward hoping to be president next.

Wow! What a field, like Christmas stars shining bright,

But through the debates American voters experienced such fright.

They could see freedoms lost like amendments second and first,

And their hard-earned treasures to illegals dispersed.

So the more they assured us if elected all would be better,

Americans cringed like when seeing an ugly Christmas sweater.

With time running out what was the haters’ next plan?

They must get rid of the pres as fast as they can.

When throughout Congress halls there arose such a clatter,

I sprung to my radio, Rush would tell us what was truly the matter.

Fortunately alternative news — other sources still existed,

So’s we need not rely on the mainstream whose fake news persisted.

You know, CNN Blitzer (not Blitzen) and Lemon pretending to sleuth,

And MSNBC’s smarmy Mathews and Maddow, those pillars of untruth.

And what to my wondering ears did I hear,

A convicting phone call was the new impeach plan de jour,

Our news and ruling elite (same thing) had it now they were sure.

They weren’t willing to concede, so a great scheme Schiff began,

The left’s savior he was, yes Free Speech TV’s man.

As desperation set in because in three years nothing worked,

They thought they had found it, in the shadows a sure thing lurked.

A quid pro quo phone call could just do the trick,

Or was it bribery, abuse or obstruction, surely something will stick.

On board was Nadler, unhinged Maxine and Pelosi with prayers,

Onward was Schumer, all convinced the power was theirs.

To all willing to watch they expressed somber faces and shared,

How it wasn’t politics, no, it was for the Constitution they cared.

Oh what solemn looks much like elves on a shelf,

Summoning courage to look, I laughed in spite of myself.

So Americans must endure this impeachment mess,

Could the Constitution prevail this coup attempt test?

Just then Santa exclaimed as he flew over D.C. over faces so drear,

This sad Christmas is nothing, get ready for elections next year.
