I have read all of the letters that were sent to you regarding the closing of Wilson’s Department Store. I think it was wonderful that people expressed their expert opinions and feelings regarding it.

I want personally to express my feelings about Anita Fritz and her family story that she wrote. It was a wonderful tribute to Wilson’s but also about the way Greenfield Main Street on Friday nights was back then when she was a child and later as an adult. A fine job was done by her to express her feelings coming from within her at this time in her life.

I being a resident of Greenfield, Mass. for many years of my life am saddened by its closing. Employees like Mr. Therien and others were so kind to me and it was their way of expressing the ways that the ownership of Wilson’s wanted its customers to have.

Thank you to everyone at Wilsons for giving me many memories to cherish at age 93.
