YMCA Holiday Pass: Will you be hosting family for the holidays? Are you interested in trying the Y but not sure where to start? YMCA holiday passes are now for sale at the Welcome Center. Use the facility for two, four or six weeks during December and January. Participants will receive access to: the pool (during scheduled lap times); weight room; basketball court (during scheduled times); Farr Fitness Center with cardio and circuit machines; Silver Locker Rooms; all group exercise classes (except for cycle classes); yoga, barre and pilates; the hot tub; and the Nautilus Room. All holiday passes must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Passes will be sold through Dec. 31. Two weeks for $30 per person; four weeks at $50 per person; or six weeks for $70 per person (sold Dec. 9 to 18 only). Pool, gym and group exercise schedules are available at the Welcome Center or online at ymcaingreenfield.org/schedules.

Second Saturday Health Series: Learn how to breathe to lower your blood pressure and other stresses. Join Carol Ann Pedigree McConnell as she shows you the right way to breathe and how it impacts your nervous system and can lead to better health. Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the YMCA social room. Free and open to everyone in the community.

Free Soup & Games Night at Hope & Olive to benefit the Livestrong program on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. Livestrong is a researched-based physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors reclaim their total health.

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program: This year-long, weekly support class has a new session beginning in January and includes a YMCA membership. The program is making a difference in the fight against prediabetes and Type 2 diabetes. Basketball Skills & Drills: The youngest participating players learn the game of basketball and basic ball handling skills such as passing, dribbling and shooting. Children at higher levels continue to develop basic skills and begin to learn the rules of the game with a focus on offense, ball handling and shooting techniques. Teamwork is emphasized and passing, shooting and defensive skills are strengthened. For children ages 4 to 5, 6 to 9, and 10 to 12. Fees start at $25 for eight weeks of classes.

Girls Day Out: Jan. 26 from noon to 3 p.m. An annual afternoon celebrating all the women in our lives. Group exercise classes, massages, pampering, shopping and snacks.
