NORTHFIELD — Saturday’s Elves Fair will bring vendors and attendees from across Franklin County to Northfield for a day full of holiday music and shopping.
The Elves Fair is volunteer-run and has been held for more than 25 years. This year’s fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Held at multiple locations around town, the day will feature craft vendors selling their wares, gift basket raffles and baked goods for sale. Joining in the festivities will be Northfield’s singing minstrels and Clyde Perkins, a woodworker from Warwick, playing a harp that he made himself.
“It’s going to be a really good variety of vendors,” said Tonia King, a member of St. Patrick’s Church who helped organized the fair.
Vendors and raffles will be stationed at Town Hall, Northfield Elementary School, the First Parish Unitarian Church and St. Patrick’s Church. According to King, there will be more than 10 vendors stationed at St. Patrick’s alone, including maple producer David Quinn from Northfield, and Mountain Valley Glasswork from Warwick.
“We will also have a delicious hot lunch,” said King, who will be charge of the kitchen for the day. Lunch fare available will include homemade chili, soup, hot dogs, corn bread and pierogi.
