Thank you Greenfield! I’m also proud to have voted yes for a new 21st century state-of-the-art green energy Greenfield Public Library. I’m sure we could spend less, but it wouldn’t fit the needs of all who would use it. It will be a green energy library and will pay for itself in a few years.

It would have been stupid to vote no and give up a $9.4 Million state grant and give it to the next town/city in line. Well I say this because they had already said they would be more then happy to have the money and would have gone forward with their new library.

The Friends of the Greenfield Public Library has raised already to date $800,000 and now that it’s passed, it can start up again. It it hadn’t passed, which would have been heartbreaking for many like myself who done our share to get the real truth out there to the people who were listening to all the lies and misinformation.

So to those of you who voted no, I’m sorry you didn’t feel it was right to support our future generations as I was willing to do. It’s a shame that ya’ll were willing to vote no and not understand by doing so the citizens of Greenfield would have to spend $8.9 Million to make the building which was a former house built during the time when George Washington was our first POTUS to make it ADA-compliant and a lot smaller than it’s 15,000 square feet.

So I say thank you to those who like me saw this wasn’t the way to go and voted yes for a new Greenfield Public Library.
