ATHOL — The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has identified the woman whose body was found Monday near the entrance to the wastewater treatment plant on Jones Street as Kelsey Clifford, 26, of Leominster.
A criminal investigation has been launched by the State Police assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and the Athol Police Department.
Clifford’s official cause of death will be determined by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
No further information is being provided at this time.
