So now it is the day after the election. Presumably we now have a new mayor, and probably the new mayor will have been elected with less than 50% of the vote.
I hope Greenfield can serve as a model for Washington, DC. Many people may be deeply disappointed with this election, but I hope no one will be bitter, or angry, or disruptive. Our City Council has had a few disagreements in the past, but as far as I know they treat each other with respect, and try to work together in the many areas of agreement. This is how our system of local government works- let us continue as friends and fellow citizens.
Congratulations to the winners. Best wishes for Greenfield.
