I’m ‘writing in’ (support of) Brickett Allis for the next mayor of Greenfield. He is especially concerned about how the working-class taxpayers, the fixed-income taxpayers, the working-poor taxpayers are going to continue to reside in this town.
His goal is to stabilize our property tax rates, provide the necessary services for safety and health, and provide transparency of our spending. Through his 19.75 years of service in our town government, he has gained the knowledge, experience, and confidence to enter this office ready to get right to work on these goals.
Having served on all but one of the subcommittees of the town council, planning board, and charter commission, he has no need to “shadow the mayor” to know how this town government works. He is ready to step into this office with a new eye as to what needs to be done and how we best go about moving Greenfield forward.
He is familiar with the procedures necessary to keep this town running. He is familiar with the budgeting process. He “does his research” in order to make the, sometimes tough, but necessary decisions for the town’s best interests in the long run. He is a man who will work for all who call Greenfield home.
On the Nov. 5 ballot please join me in writing: Brickett Allis, 300 Wells St., in the ‘write in space only’ for mayor, then fill in the bubble. Together let’s put aside the “same old, same old” views and bring in a fresh vision.
