I am writing to share my excitement about write-in City Council candidate Deborah (Debbie) Richards (Precinct 1). Over the 13 years she has lived here, she has demonstrated her deep care for this community and its people. Debbie has the experience, resourcefulness, creativity, and dedication Greenfield needs to make our city more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.
Debbie Richards has been working behind the scenes in politics ever since high school and has a hard-earned understanding of — and passion for — the democratic process. She is more than ready to step out from behind the scenes and be the committed representative that our precinct needs. She will be responsive to our voices and priorities. She is a fair-minded listener who will consider all points of view and reliably act in the best interest of our precinct and community.
Debbie will bring to City Council fresh eyes and a willingness to innovate and think critically about what is in the best interest of our community. She will work to ensure that economic development benefits everyone, and that our schools, library, police, fire, and other city services have the resources they need to do their best work.
