On Nov. 5, Precinct 3 has the opportunity to vote in a new city councilor for the first time in nearly 20 years. It is an exciting and important task to find a caring and responsive leader who is well-experienced, but not entrenched and that leader is Ginny Desorgher. One would be hard-pressed to find a person who volunteers more for Greenfield than Ginny. She serves on town committees, volunteers for events, participates in community meals, and can be seen at council meetings as a concerned resident. Ginny has experience working with our city government on the Planning Board and other commissions. She already understands a great deal of what goes on at the council and where she does not have experience, she is already doing the work to learn more.
Ginny has strong priorities for her work on the City Council, including:
● Ensuring access to all Greenfield city buildings.
● Planning for Greenfield’s aging population and their needs.
● Utilizing all resources to address the affordable housing crisis and provide support for our homeless population.
● Promoting a sustainable economy with support for a vibrant downtown core and growth throughout the community.
● Fortifying our town infrastructure.
Ginny is also simply a kind and generous person. When you meet her, you can tell she cares about this community and she truly wants to be of service. Stop downtown on an upcoming Saturday morning and meet her on the corner. I know you will agree.
I encourage Precinct 3 residents to join me in voting for Ginny Desorgher on Nov. 5.
