I am writing to support Sheila Gilmour for mayor. Why? She is totally honest, authentic and transparent. She doesn’t play games and you know where she stands yet she is not rigid and is open to hearing all voices on all issues. She’s a team player, a fierce advocate for democratic process and will insist on open meetings. Sheila cares about increased funding for our schools and is for investing in the City Charter’s central value: Sustainability.
Her past management experience with the military in treating staff department heads in a fair and respectful way has won her the respect and dedication of employees. An advocate for a transparent budgeting process, Sheila has had experience in contract negotiations, mediation and workforce development. She has served on the City Council on the Economic Development and the Appointments and Ordinances committees, so she understands the ways and means of bringing new opportunities in development and economic stability to Greenfield and thus is a realistic visionary. I urge you to vote for Sheila Gilmour for mayor.
