A big shout-out of “Well done!” to The Recorder reporters who contributed to the many articles highlighting the diversity of our farms here in Franklin County. A special nod to Andy Castillo for his feature editor role, and also to Richie Davis for in a sense “passing the baton” on to Andy, after his many years of covering, and championing, our local farmers. Farmers of all kinds are so overdue for recognition. They deserve it for their dedication, their can-do attitude, their steadfast determination despite all that Mother Nature throws at them, and for being the stewards of our rural landscape. They are the most ingenious and realistic people I know. Our future depends on their future. Thanks to all who continue to support them in any way!
