In support of Ginny DeSorgher

If you want something done, call Ginny. She protects ice sculptures from vandals through the winter night. She slogs through the damp autumn woods to examine sites under consideration by the city Planning Board she sits on. She races between committee meetings for transportation/disability access/affordable housing on any given day. She often finishes up her day of service to Greenfield being the person to lock up at the John Zon center, so it could be available after hours to veterans. Ginny is also an active grandmother of five, and an incredible friend and neighbor.

Ginny moved to Greenfield as a retiree and has since that day given this community her all to make it better for everyone who lives here, to ensure that our city government and agencies serve all of us, with excellence. You may know this about Ginny because you’ve seen her around or been lucky enough to work with her. Do you also know that Ginny was an emergency room nurse and a MNA union member for 25 years? That’s right.

You should also know that Ginny is a numbers person. She watches or attends every city budget discussion. She is more knowledgeable on budgets than many councilors, and has real ideas about how to stabilize taxes and make our town more efficient. As a retired person living on a fixed income, Ginny knows firsthand about making tradeoffs to pay bills.

We have a chance to elect a City Council that contains a critical mass of people with the experience, fiscal focus, dedication to service, and vision. Please support Ginny DeSorgher as Precinct 3 councilor with your vote and contributions.
