GREENFIELD – The Preliminary Election at Greenfield High School is underway. By noon, 9.3 percent of voters turned out to cast their ballots, according to Greenfield City Clerk, Kathy Smith. 

The polls close tonight at 8 p.m.

Brickett Allis, Sheila Gilmour and Roxann Wedegartner are running for a four-year term as mayor. The two candidates who get the most votes will face off in the November general election.

James Henry, Philip Elmer, Christine Forgey, Terence Stigers and Michael Terounzo are running for councilor-at-large; two seats are available. The primary will narrow the field to four candidates.
