I spent many years representing Greenfield on state and county levels and I’m well-practiced in our area’s political contests. I know a quality candidate when I see one. I’ve known RoxannWedegartner for over 40 years, and I can vouch for her compassion and her intelligent, pragmatic approach to solving problems.
Roxann has earned my vote through her many years of service to our community as Planning Board member and chair, School Committee member and chair, and leader of Greenfield’s Sustainable Master Plan, just to name a few. She has a balanced approach to progressive values and practical approaches to solve the many challenges. She also sees many opportunities the other candidates just don’t talk about.
There are many of us who believe Greenfield has made much progress despite enduring a major recession, and Roxann embodies realistic optimist. Roxann has shown great leadership skills as a private citizen, speaking out articulately for the new library many times to a resistant City Council. She has continually shown a clear vision for our city during her campaign. She has business experience in her own right and volunteers for causes which support the marginalized. She has the right temperament to lead. We need her skills, leadership and values if Greenfield is to continue to move forward.
Roxann is respectful, honest, pragmatic, hardworking, and a completely decent human being, someone I am proud to say is my friend. Please join me to vote for RoxannWedegartner on Sept. 10.
