Greenfield Senior Center, 35 Pleasant St.: The Food Bank’s food distribution for qualifying seniors will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Spouse/Partner Bereavement Support offered by Hospice of Franklin County begins Sept. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The six-week group is specifically for seniors, ages 55 and up, who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner. The purpose of the group is to offer support through education and sharing of feelings associated with the grieving process. It is recommended that the death be at least three months before the start of a group. A brief interview is required. The group is facilitated by Marcia Schuhle, hospice bereavement volunteer. Free.
