When I think of who I’d like to see become our next mayor, I want to see someone that I know would always represent Greenfield’s best interests whether before city councilors, legislators in Boston or Washington, D.C., or among other mayors. RoxannWedegartner is that person.
She has many years serving in city government on planning board and school committee. I’ve watched her over that time. While on the Planning Board she chaired many contentious meetings with courtesy and a cool head, even a bit of humor at times. Through her work on the Planning Board, Greenfield has benefited from greater economic growth. As a School Committee member and chairwoman of the committee, she participated in negotiating contracts, creating school budgets, and championing our schools and students.
I’ll be casting my vote for Roxann in the Sept. 10 preliminary election.
