Competitive Style Swimming Mini-Camps: These camps have a competitive swimming approach, and are not learn-to-swim/swimming lesson programs. Participants should be somewhat knowledgeable of all strokes and wish to broaden those skills. Monday, Aug. 12 to Thursday, Aug. 15, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Montague residents $45 per swimmer, non-residents $50 per swimmer. Held at the Turners Falls High School swimming pool. Maximum enrollment is 24.
Youth Soccer Registration: Has begun for Montague residents. Non-residents may register starting Monday, Aug. 19. The Youth Soccer Program includes Squirt Soccer (for children in kindergarten to second grade; Montague residents — $30, non-residents — $35), Junior Travel Team (for grades three and four; Montague residents — $45, non-residents $50) and Senior Travel Team (for grades five and six; Montague residents — $55, non-residents — $60). All teams are co-ed; schedules vary.
Movies In The Park: Friday, Aug. 16, “Cars 3” (G) at Peskeomskut Park, Avenue A, Turners Falls. Show times are at dusk; music by ZoKi prior to the film. Offered through a partnership between RiverCulture and The Friends of Sheffield Elementary School. Bring a blanket or folding chair. Refreshments will be provided, while supplies last.
