BERNARDSTON — A 59-year-old Colrain woman was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center on Monday after her Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a Toyota RAV4 as both traveled northbound on Interstate 91.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries, according to Massachusetts State Police Spokesman James DeAngelis.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2:21 p.m. The cause of the accident is under investigation, he said.
The Toyota, a 2008 model, was driven away by its operator, a 31-year-old Charlemont woman, DeAngelis said. The driver did not sustain any injuries.
Meanwhile, the Harley Davidson motorcycle, a 2015 model, was towed, DeAngelis said. The operator, who was sent to the hospital, was issued a citation for motor vehicle violations.
