GREENFIELD — The on-ramp from the Greenfield rotary onto Interstate 91 southbound will be closed to traffic from approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday through 6 a.m. on Monday.
All traffic seeking to access Interstate 91 southbound will be detoured onto Interstate 91 northbound to Exit 28B in Bernardston, and then directed to access Interstate 91 southbound from there, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Two lanes of traffic on the southbound highway will remain open during the holiday travel period.
People traveling through the impacted areas should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution, the press release advises. Signs and messaging will be in place to notify drivers. The work schedule is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
