In my opinion, the Greenfield Recorder would be better named the Orange-Athol Recorder. About 90 percent of the information in the paper is now about that area. What ever happened to the surrounding areas of Greenfield? Even the advertisements are mostly for that area. But I digress …
I’m also writing to complain about the coverage of the Relay For Life at the Franklin County Fairgrounds on June 7 and 8. There certainly should have been coverage in Friday’s paper about the survivor lap to start the relay and the luminaries being lit at 9 p.m. If people had known about these things, in advance, I am sure there would have been more people there.
Your coverage in the Monday and Tuesday papers was a little short and a little late. I realize there were many graduations on Friday and they certainly had to be covered. But the Friday article could have been written several days in advance with pictures from last year … like the “Hope” sign, etc.
I hope you can keep this in mind for next year, which will be the 25th anniversary of the relay.
