Another trip to Westfield State University is on tap for local track athletes qualified for the All-State track and field championships at Gerry Gavel Track. The meet is set for this afternoon at 3 p.m.

Cat Fox of Nashoba, Haley Lightbody of Reading, Isabella Parrett of North Reading and Rai Ann Bu of Algonquin are all tied atop the performance list at 11 feet.
Moore will need to break her school record of 10 feet for a shot at the podium. Erin Laffond of Mohawk is seeded 24th (nine feet) for the Warriors in the pole vault.
In the boys’ pole vault Greenfield High School’s Theodor Popusoi was 10th on the performance list at 12 feet, as the event was run on Thursday at Westfield State. Algonquin’s John Bai won it, followed by North Middlesex’s Edward McCarthy in second and Quabbin’s Seth Talbot in third.
Mason Barrieau of Athol High School and Phaelon Koski of Frontier will do battle once again in the 400-meter hurdles. Barrieau won the Central/West crown after Koski won the event the week before at the WMass Division 2 championships.
For the All-State meet, Barrieau is seeded 21st (57.77) with Koski right behind him at 22nd (58.07). The top-seeded competitor in the 400-meter hurdles is Jordan Williams of Brockton (53.30).

The top six finishers in each event at today’s meet will advance to next weekend’s New England Interscholastic Outdoor Track and Field Championships, set for June 8 in Saco, Maine.
