Makayla Tatro went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs as the Hawlemont Pumas wrapped up the Hilltown Softball League championship with a 19-12 win over the Colrain Cougars Thursday evening at Colrain Elementary School.
Megan Gabaree struck out four and also went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the win. Jackie Churchill went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Kay Tanner went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Amber Taylor struck out eight in the loss and also went 4-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Erika Bardwell went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Addison Shearer drove in three runs.

Kristine Given and Elena Witherell combined for eight strikeouts over five innings as the Northfield Cougars beat Brattleboro, 19-7, in a Tri-County League softball game Thursday in Northfield.
Given added a double in the win, while Tia Stryski and Greta Lewis each singled and drove in a run.
Haley Bogert hit a solo home run for Brattleboro. Rose Stone doubled and singled, and Molly Bingham struck out six.
• In other action, TeaganBoliski, Nina Holden and Amelia Keeler struck out 11 as Bernardston beat Hinsdale, 8-2, at Pratt Field in Bernardston.
Boliski singled and doubled, Holden and Abbi Lawall each had two hits, Keeler tripled, and Isabella Graves had a hit.
Kiley Hemlow struck out 13 in the loss. GabieFrain, Hayden Patterson and Lilia DelSesto each had one hit.

MacKenzie Paulin struck out 16 in a no-hitter to lead Camelot Carpet Cleaners to a 7-0 win over Gilmore & Farrell Insurance in a Greenfield Girls Softball League Ponytail Division game Thursday night at Murphy Park in Greenfield.
Paulin walked just one in the shutout. She also went 3-for-3 at the dish with a home run, triple, double and three RBIs. Taylor Menard tripled, singled and drove in one run, Kelly Baird had an RBI and played well defensively at first base, and Amelia Pierce and Rachel Wood each had a hit.
Jenna Petrowicz struck out two in an inning of work, while Ellis Benitez struck out nine in five innings of relief.
• Meanwhile, Carly Blanchard struck out six and also tripled, doubled and drove in five runs as Descavich Plumbing beat Freedom Credit Union, 17-14.
Lucja Yagodzinski had one hit and two RBIs in the win, while Gloria McDonald and Meghan Collins each played well defensively and contributed one hit.
Skylei LaPan and Madison Dietz combined to strike out five for Freedom, while Lexi Jones had two hits, and Emmy Nash had one.
• In Lil Nipper action, Markie Buchula-Curtis had three hits as the Purple Panthers bested Pelletier Electric, 5-0.
Autumn Thornton, Tilly Dulles and Ivy Lopez each had two hits in the win.
Lilly Laprade had two hits for Pelletier, while Isabelle Thompson and Maya Laprade each had a hit.

Mason Lehtomaki doubled and singled as Greenfield Savings Bank doubled up Booska’s Flooring, 10-5, in a Newt Guilbault Community League baseball game Thursday night in Turners Falls.
Nathaniel Trinque doubled in the win, and Trevor Lyons played good defense in right field. Jake Jurek struck out seven.
Jake Maynard doubled in the loss.
• Elsewhere, Jackson Cogswell struck out eight as St. Kazimierz Society edged Turners Falls Athletic Club, 11-7.
Zavyey Nieves had three hits and one RBI in the win, and Braydon Talbot singled and doubled, while playing strong at shortstop. Kainen Stevens went 3-for-4 with a double, and Julian Kaiser had a hit.
Brody Girard struck out seven for TFAC and added a hit. Matt Field hit a three-run home run for his first career round-tripper, and Sam Studlian had one hit and two RBIs.

Michael Hioe struck out 10 in four innings as Polish American Citizens Club edged Delta Dental, 11-10, in a Frontier Cal Ripken League baseball game Thursday in Hatfield.
Max Mallette went 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs in the win.
Cooper Whitney homered for Delta, while Tegan Dexter went 2-for-3 with a two-run double.

Mike Mickiewicz hit a pair of doubles to pace Bobby C’s DJ Service to a 18-17 win over Lundgren Honda in a Greenfield Minor League AA Division game Thursday at Lunt Field in Greenfield.
Carter Malouin had three hits in the win, Paxton Phelps singled and doubled, Tevaariss Hall and Camden Page each had two hits, and Connor Bengston pitched one solid inning.
Asa Bouchard and Casey Burke each had four hits and scored four runs for Lundgren. Bryce Zraunig had three hits and scored four times, Jason Wessinger had two hits and scored twice, and Desean Carter scored a pair of runs.
• In Major Division action, Ethan Quinn fired a complete-game, two-hitter as New Fortune knocked off Maniatty’s, 10-0.
Quinn struck out 12 and also hit a home run in the first inning to finish 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Braeden Tsipenyuk also hit a first-inning bomb. Jackson Petrin had two hits and two RBIs, and Heath Gomez, Shaun Turner and Jake Brook each had one hit. Gomez drove in three.
Deven Dubie and Rowan Muzzy had the lone hits for Maniatty’s.

Winchendon 11, Orange Fire 5 — Thomas Schoonmaker and Evan Piscitello had hits in a loss for Orange Fire at Legion Field in Winchendon on Thursday.
Piscitello pitched an inning for Orange Fire before coming out for Freeland Ringer who pitched two innings.
Interleague
Skyler Steele hit an RBI double and also struck out five on the mound as the Buckland/Ashfield Brewers beat Wilcox Builders, 9-4, in an Interleague Major Division game.
Grayson Bishop had one hit and scored three times in the win, while Connor Herzig drove in a run and played well defensively.
Conner Kowalski went 3-for-3 with a double for Wilcox. Garrett Willard had a hit and an RBI, and Matt Schedule doubled.

Jay Avery went 2-for-4 with a home run as Turners Falls Pizza House topped Between the Uprights, 10-6, in a Montague Co-Rec Adult Softball League game Thursday at Unity Park in Turners Falls.
Katie Kurtyka went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the win, while Mark Kosloski went 4-for-4 with a run scored.

Jeff Merkle’s plus-5 quota won the Blue Tee Division during the Crumpin-Fox Club Men’s Quota League Thursday in Bernardston.
Brett Barnes and Steve Colby tied for second at plus-4, and Dan Benoit was fourth at plus-3. Tim Brandl was closest on No. 3 at 24 inches, while Doug Taylor was closest on No. 9 at 5 feet, 1 inch.
Richard Degray won first in the Gold Tee Division at plus-7. Peter Jenkins and Gene Kugler tied for second at plus-2.
