Shelburne Falls brewery marks six-month anniversary

Shelburne Falls’ new brewery, Floodwater Brewing Co., is celebrating six months of operation with several free live music events scheduled this week.

On Thursday, Lexi Weege and the Wonder Twins will play at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, musicians Jim Eagan and Dennis Avery will play at 7:30 p.m. And on Sunday, the band Lunar Carnival will perform at 3 p.m.

The brewery is located at 40 State St. in Shelburne Falls.

Shelburne has empty seats to fill

The town is seeking residents to fill five vacant municipal positions. The seats are on the Board of Assessors, Shelburne Free Public Library Trustees, Planning Board, Housing Authority and the Recreation Committee.

As the election has passed, volunteers will be appointed by the Selectboard and elected next year, should they choose to run.

Those interested should contact Town Clerk Joe Judd by phone at 413-625-0300, ext. 3 or by email at townclerk@townofshelburnema.gov.
