The brand new Mini-Fenway at Lunt Field has officially been tamed.
New Fortune slugger Ethan Quinn became the first player in Greenfield Minor League Baseball history to smack a home run over the Green Monster at Lunt No. 3 on Saturday. Quinn finished 2-for-4, as his two-run bomb in the second inning propelled the club to an 11-6 win over Maniatty Real Estate in a Majors Division contest.
Braeden Tsipenyuk, who just three days earlier became the first player to knick the fence with a wall-ball double, was a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBIs in New Fortune’s victory. Gabe Tomasi, Jayden Hunter and Heath Gomez all had two hits for the winners, and Jackson Petrin tossed in a double.
Maniatty received doubles from Cam Burnett and Luca Siano, with Burnett driving in two runs. Ethan Mauthe helped the offensive effort with two hits.
• In AAA action on Saturday, Evan Tsipenyuk, Malik Moore and Jonathan Ainsworth combined to strike out nine batters as Smitty’s Pub beat Rotary Club, 16-6.
George Gutierrez Jr. led the Smitty’s offense with three hits, and Ainsworth added a pair of hits. Jackson Glazier had both of Rotary’s hits with a double and a triple.
• On the AA circuit, Bobby C’s DJ Service and Berkshire Insurance played to a 12-12 tie on Saturday.
Julian James had three hits for Berkshire Insurance, which also received two hits apiece from Declan Joyce and Braiden Cypher. Tommy Clary and Aaron Meuse tossed two innings apiece.
Bobby C’s was paced by Landon Allenby and Carter Malouin’s work on the mound.
• Elsewhere, Kacen Rudd and Isaac Tripp were both 4-for-4 and Kaleb Reipold added an RBI single to lift Fitzgerald Real Estate past the Moose, 14-11, Saturday in Rookie Division play.
The Moose offensive effort was well-represented. Avery Lococo had six hits and two RBIs, Layla Coffin added five hits and three RBIs, Leo McDonald smacked five hits, including a double and an RBI, and Brantly Deming also had five hits and an RBI.

The stars were out for Greenfield Savings Bank on Saturday.
The trio of Ethan Eichorn, Mason Lehtomaki and Caleb Dillensneider were all a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, and GSB cruised to a 21-1 win over Booska’s Flooring in a Newt Guibauilt contest at Campbell Field in Turners Falls.
Lehtomaki drove in four runs for GSB, with Leo Reiber also adding a hit. Dillensneider recorded six strikeouts on the mound.
Booska’s was paced by Cameron Laster’s two hits.
Valley Storm 12U
Up against a difficult trio of opponents, the Valley Storm 12U softball team went 0-3 over the weekend, competing in the Chelmsford Girls Softball Mother’s Day Invitational.
The weekend came to a close on Sunday, with an elimination defeat at the hands of third-seeded Northeast Hurricanes Salem Blue (N.H.). Sofia Holden was 2-for-2 at the plate in the loss, and MacKenzie Paulin and Holden each struck out a batter in the pitching circle.
Earlier in the weekend, Madison Liimatainen earned game MVP honors thanks to a 2-for-3 outing with a pair of triples and an RBI but the Storm was edged by the Central Mass. Crushers, 9-7. Ashley Taylor went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Holden doubled, and Margarette Howland singled and drove in a run. Paulin went the distance in the circle, striking out 12 batters.
The Storm also dropped a 9-1 decision to the Smithfield Storm (R.I.). In that one, Lucia Doulette earned MVP honors for the game with one hit and a number of fine defensive plays at first base. Holden was 2-for-2, Taylor was 2-for-3, and Howland also had a hit. Holden went the distance and struck out a pair.

Not much separated Freedom Credit Union and Descavich Plumbing on Saturday.
Ava Fortin smacked three hits and Leah Potter had two, while the pitching of Madison Dietz (eight strikeouts) helped Freedom sneak past Descavich, 13-12, in a Greenfield Girls Softball League Ponytail Division game at Murphy Park.
Descavich’s Sophia Rotkiewicz was 3-for-3 with a double, while Lilly Ross was also 3-for-3. Teammate Carly Blanchard added two hits.
• In Lil Nippers action over the weekend, Bianca Reynolds’ 5-for-5 outing with an RBI propelled Franklin First Credit Union past Harper’s Store, 10-3.
Kayden Viencek and Madison Lemay both went 4-for-4 in the win. Harper’s Angelina Kampuries and Lexi Hawkins totaled three hits each.
• Elsewhere, Kayla Fish registered three hits and teammate Izzy Allen had two base knocks to send Precision Driving School to a 10-4 victory over Lundgren Honda.
Lundgren was paced by Lilly Marciano (3-for-3), Abby Moffatt (2-for-2) and Madison Ross (2-for-3).
