HAWLEY — The annual town election, scheduled May 6 from 11:45 a.m. to 7 p.m., is uncontested this year with one vacancy, for the Kindergarten-to-12 representative on the Mohawk Trail Regional School District Committee.
Hussain Hamdan is running for re-election as a Selectboard and Board of Heath member with a three-year term. Hamdan is also running for re-election to the Hawlemont Regional School District Committee.
Edward Brady is running for re-election as town assessor with a three-year term.
Suzanne Crawford is running for re-election as Hawlemont Regional School District Local Education Council member with a three-year term.
Kirby “Lark” Thwing is running for re-election term as town moderator with a one-year term.
Carla Clark is running for re-election as town auditor as a write-in candidate with a one-year term.
A special election will be held at a date to be determined for two seats: the Selectboard and Board of Health, and the Hawlemont Regional School District Committee. These positions were held by Sally Rich, who died while in office last month.

Three boards and committees also have several openings: two positions on the Personnel Committee, one position on the Council on Aging and two positions on the Agricultural Commission.
