ORANGE — Two seats will be contested in this Monday’s town election, and 17 more have uncontested ballot candidates.

Polls are open to registered Orange voters from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Orange Armory, 135 East Main St.

Running for a three-year seat as water commissioner is Denise Andrews, 21 Beach Lane, and Carl L. Sauter, 57 Forest Lane.

The other race is for a three-year seat as cemetery commissioner. Incumbent George C.F. Willard, 142 West Orange Road, and John D. Waters Sr., 83 South Shore Drive, are running.

There are a number of ballot candidates for uncontested seats, including a one-year seat for town moderator, incumbent Christopher J. Woodcock, 323 North Main St.; three three-year seats as constables, incumbent James Gallagher, 38 Smith Ave., incumbent Randy Plante, 272 Mechanic St., and incumbent Arthur Savage, 31 Shingle Brook Road; a three-year Board of Health seat, incumbent Patricia Pierson, 28 Fountain St.; three three-year seats on the Elementary School Committee, Crystal M. Parent, 53 Daniel Shays Highway, and KaronL. Parker, 131 Eagleville Road; a two-year seat on the Elementary School Committee, Danielle Anderson, 156 Chestnut Hill Road; two three-year seats on the Regional School Committee, incumbent Peter Cross, 31 Logan Ave., and incumbent Christopher Paul, 9 Dexter St.; two three-year seats as library trustees, incumbent Candace Cross, 31 Logan Ave., and incumbent Sandra Johnson, 97 Main St.; a three-year veteran seat with the Trustees of Soldiers’ Memorials, incumbent James Cornwell, 1 Prescott Lane; and a three-year nonveteran seat with the Trustees of Soldiers’ Memorials, incumbent Michelle LeBlanc, 36 Brookside Road.

The Selectboard’s vacant fifth seat is also expected to be filled. On the ballot for the three-year seat is William J. Wrigley, 258 Walnut Hill Road. The Selectboard has been without a fifth member since May last year, when former Selectboard Chairman Richard Sheridan resigned.

Alexandre A. Schwanz, 140 Prentiss St., is also on the ballot for the Selectboard seat, but asks that residents do not vote for him. Schwanz said he will not be able to serve in the position due to a change of circumstances, but was unable to withdraw by the deadline, so his name will appear on the ballot.

In addition to the seats with listed candidates, a five-year seat on the Housing Authority is also on the ballot. There are no candidates running on the ballot for this seat.
