Dick’s Angels Relay For Life team will be cooking again Friday at the Bernardston Vets Club from 5 to 7 p.m. The special will be steak and cheese grinders with French fries and cole slaw. A public spaghetti dinner, hosted by the Orange Knights of Columbus , will be Saturday at 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Parish Center following 4 p.m. Mass. Children under 10 years old are free. Franklin Area Survival Center: The Food Pantry & Thrift Store hosted by staff and volunteers is at 96 Fourth St., 413-863-9549. The Thrift Store is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Food Pantry is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The center is closed Federal holidays. The Thrift Shop is open to the general public and helps finance its Food Pantry. In an emergency, such as a fire or flood, the center will supply needed clothing and linens, free, and additional food to help the victims of a disaster.

Scholarships: The Franklin County Bar Association Community Fund is proud to announce that it will be awarding two Thomas W. Merrigan Memorial Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to deserving high school students in Franklin County. The scholarships will be announced during the Law Day celebrations planned for April 30. To qualify for the FCBA scholarship award, an applicant must be a Franklin County resident, a senior in high school and in pursuit of post-secondary education of any kind.
