Daniel A. Brown’s recent My Turn essay calls Donald J. Trump’s Wall an “impractical and selfish fantasy.” If Trump demanded that Congress build a wall around Trump Tower, that would be selfish and impractical.
Trump wants a wall to protect those of us who cannot afford a wall around our house; like he and Nancy Pelosi have. Both have a wall of human security around themselves and family whenever they leave the mansion. We working stiffs are lucky to own a gun.
Neither Trump, nor Pelosi will pay for a wall around our house, but a border wall is a good start. Congress spends billions on roads that go nowhere; military “toys” that blow themselves up; and billions on the climate they cannot change, but a border wall is impractical?
