“Just a thought”

I’ve read this paper since I was a little girl, and read many editorials and great opinions. One can learn so much information, on many subjects and people and places. Lately I read so much about your library and fire department buildings. I love the library and as a small girl, my Auntie Gladys took me there.

It’s a beautiful building, but of course, a new one and a new fire department will cost your city big dollars. I heard of a lady in a wheelchair having difficulty on your ramp … so here’s my thought.

Keep that beautiful old library for children, and the older disabled people (like me) can go into the old fire department (out back), which for the most part is on ground level. Help to save Greenfield big money and more taxes.

It’s just a thought, and that is free. Then — one more opinion — in reference to “Mr. Trump” (he’s not my president). First time I haven’t voted in years. He says he reads the Bible. Really? He should go to “Jeremiah 22:3.” Here, the Lord is speaking to the King of Judah. Do what is just and right. Rescue, from the hand of the oppression, one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner or fatherless, or the widows, and do not shed violence or innocent blood in any place.
