In all of the letters, essays, My Turn’s and so on regarding the cost of the proposed new Greenfield library, why is there little to no mention of the cost of moving the fire station, which is part and parcel of building the new library?
As a homeowner I am concerned that the library project will pass, most likely with an unavoidable small tax burden added to homeowners in spite of what the mayor claims, only to find taxpayers on the hook for the unexplored costs of a new fire station that must precede it. Please, can someone give a concise financial projection of both library AND fire station costs so we can truly understand what we being asked to commit to? Thank you.
